Human–Wildlife Interactions (ISSN 2155-3858 print, ISSN 2155-3874 online) is a peer-reviewed journal published three times a year by the Jack H. Berryman Institute. HWI is the only scientific journal dedicated specifically to publishing manuscripts that report research, management case studies, and policy perspectives designed to enhance the professional management of human–wildlife conflicts. Submit a Manuscript for Human-Wildlife Interactions

Contributors are encouraged to submit manuscripts via our submission portal on Digital Commons.

Who Should Submit Manuscripts

Anyone is welcome to submit a manuscript, letter, and article to Human–Wildilfe Interactions. Submissions are especially welcome from people working in operations or with practical field experience. If you have information, an opinion, or idea that should be shared with others in the field of wildlife management, please contact the editor at hwi@usu.edu, and we will assist you in getting your information published. We also publish a section on human–wildlife interactions in the news. If you see an article in the media dealing with a human–wildlife issues, please forward it to the editor with an explanation about where and when it appeared.

Costs to Publish Manuscripts in HWI

Page charges of $100 per typeset page are required. Authors must acknowledge acceptance of responsibility for page charges should the manuscript be accepted for publication. You will receive an invoice once the manuscript is ready for publication. Payment can be made by check or credit card. If you prefer to make a payment using a credit card, visit our payment page and use the invoice number that was provided. Please note that you do not need a PayPal account; there is a credit card button just below the PayPal button. Although it says sign up, it will accept a credit card with no PayPal account needed. An invoice can be sent by email to you through PayPal. All payments are due within 30 days of submission.
